Bring Them Home Now Bus Tour Coming to Syracuse Sept 13

Update: Cindy Sheehan will not be in Syracuse, as first reported, because she is helping with Hurricane Katrina.

WHAT: Crawford to DC: Bring Them Home Now Bus Tour
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 13, 5:00-6:00
WHERE: Syracuse Federal Building (Clinton & Washington Sts)

The Peace encampment in Crawford ended on Aug 31 .... and the road
trip to DC began! Three busses are now traveling different routes
across the country, planning to converge in Washington DC on 9/21,
for the 9/24-9/26 weekend of peace actions in DC.

Each bus carries representatives from the four sponsoring
organizations: Goldstar Families for Peace, Military Families Speak
Out, Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans for Peace. They will
share their stories in the hopes of inspiring others to take action to
end the occupation now! For bios on each of the speakers coming to
Syracuse, you can visit www.bringthemhomenowtour.org and select "Meet
the Families and Vets".

We have secured a permit for the Federal Building plaza. We are
working on scheduling legislative visits from 3:30-3:50. A press
conference will be held at 4pm and the rally will begin promptly at
5pm.

If you can help distribute flyers, please stop by the Peace Council
office to pick some up, or we can email you a copy to print out and
post at your office, library, grocery store, etc.
